In pursuit of optimized seed quality, yield and plantation size as well as state of the art fuel production facilities JATRO cooperates closely with Governments, Ministries, Non-governmental organizations, universities, research centers, think tanks and like-minded entrepreneurs.

In order to achieve economic success of biofuel crops independent of any third party subsidies, the quality of our seeds and ultimate yield are of utmost importance to us and our farmers. Our research will allow us to harness the potential of high yielding jatropha species within a short growth period.

JATRO has access to laboratory facilities for analysis and evaluation of soils and plant products as well as professional expertise on all aspects of tropical plant production, post-harvest technology, chemical conversion of primary plant products into fuels, plant breeding and water management.

Using our in-house research, scientists and agronomists working in the fields of agro-biotechnology and genetic engineering, we strive to achieve the best results in advanced fast growing and cloning technology, leaf culture cultivation and automated nursery systems.

Join the jatropha challenge

The successful and large scale cultivation of jatropha curcas is a constant challenge which requires quality input from many sides and sources. We therefore actively promote a network of excellence across boundaries, jurisdictions and time zones. We explicitly encourage research organizations, government agencies, agro-entrepreneurs, financial institutions, farming cooperatives and pioneers decided to take the jatropha challenge to contact us. We also provide a hospital and exciting environment for qualified researchers and PhD students.
